Founder: Simon Jacob

Describing the founder of our company, Simon Jacob, is not easy. His life and work are characterized by extraordinary diversity and profound experiences.
Roots and Values
Simon came to Germany as a refugee child in 1980 at the age of two. His parents, who had been shaped by ethnic conflicts in their original homeland, instilled in him the values ​​of a free and open society from an early age.

This attitude still forms the basis of his thinking and actions today.

Career path
Simon began his professional career with a strong understanding of technology, economics, media and cultural diversity.

• A solid commercial apprenticeship in a traditional industrial company
• Consciously chosen military service in the German Armed Forces
• The founding of several companies in the hardware and IT sector
• Leading positions in globally operating companies such as Rubycon, Hewlett-Packard, IHS or Renesas

His areas of activity were always interdisciplinary and interconnected. This allowed him to expand his knowledge in the fields of technology (focusing on automotive and industry), media, communication, project management, and production.

Journalist in crisis zones
Alongside his entrepreneurial activities, his passion for media and society led him to work as a journalist in numerous countries in the Middle East. His particularly long stays in the war zones of Syria and Iraq left a lasting impression. There, he produced reports, including some in collaboration with public broadcasters (e.g., ARD), which primarily focused on the human rights situation in the affected regions.

The often harrowing experiences he had on the ground never left Simon's mind. To this day, he dedicates himself to upholding human rights worldwide through journalism and writing.

Bridge builder and consultant
His diplomatic negotiating skills and intercultural experience, gained on every continent, make Simon a forward-thinking, experienced, and respected business partner who understands subtle cultural and interpersonal nuances. This expertise has led to numerous consulting engagements in politics, culture, and society – including for former German President Joachim Gauck, representatives of various ministries abroad, and economic, ethnic, and religious institutions.

In 2020, Simon was selected by the US State Department to participate in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) and has since been part of the alumni circle of this prestigious program.

AI - Looking ahead

On the left of the image, humanity's technological progress is represented by a female AI (Artificial Intelligence). She reaches for the stars and carries within her the belief that the world – through technology and gender equality – must be harmonized for the benefit of all humankind. This image illustrates our conviction:

The symbol of Oannes and the future

Oannes – the deity on the right in our logo – originates from Babylonian mythology and also represents part of our company founder's cultural heritage. This mystical hybrid creature, half fish, half human, rose daily from the Red Sea to bring humanity knowledge in the form of philosophy, mathematics, astrology, and much more. At night, Oannes returned to the sea.

An ancient text that teaches us

The Sumerian inscription for the deity Oannes embodies the historical fact that the peoples of the Near East – such as the Sumerians, Akkadians, Assyrians, and Babylonians – were capable of developing intellectual, philosophical, economic, and technological milestones, including one of the world's first writing systems. This is a fact that is often forgotten today, especially among the ethnic groups of the Near East.

It is therefore all the more important to remember that the historical achievements of the Middle East – such as writing and mathematics – were formative for today's technological developments. The ability to build on these achievements again still exists, provided that conflicts can be resolved without war and that all peoples in the region and worldwide are treated with respect for equality.
